What CaseLink is
CaseLink helps collect, preserve, search, and connect information related to missing-person cases, unidentified-person records, agencies, documents, public sources, timelines, maps, and research leads.
What CaseLink is not
CaseLink is not a law-enforcement agency, court, emergency service, official identification authority, legal advisor, or replacement for trained investigators. Information surfaced by CaseLink must be independently reviewed by qualified humans and proper authorities.
Why it exists
Case information is often scattered across public records, agency pages, news reports, archived documents, maps, and community submissions. CaseLink exists to reduce that fragmentation and make research easier to follow, preserve, and review.
Public-source intelligence
The platform may organize public records, approved imports, agency information, geographic data, public news context, court data, source links, documents, and metadata. Public-source aggregation does not mean the information is complete, verified, current, or official.
Submissions and documents
Users, families, researchers, and authorized participants may submit leads, corrections, documents, public source links, notes, or case context. Submissions are not automatically accepted as fact and may be reviewed, restricted, preserved, corrected, rejected, or removed.
Accounts, investigators, and administrators
CaseLink may support public users, registered accounts, investigators, moderators, and administrators. Higher-access roles may review submissions, manage records, preserve documents, evaluate sources, and maintain platform quality controls.
Search, matching, and correlation
CaseLink may provide search across multiple datasets, relationship graphs, location tools, matching queues, source intelligence, and future AI-assisted research features. These tools are designed to surface possible leads, not make final findings.
Transparency and corrections
Because public records and submissions can be incomplete or wrong, CaseLink supports transparency pages, source explanations, correction requests, content removal requests, privacy controls, and responsible review workflows.
