Content Removal Policy
CaseLink may remove or restrict content when needed for safety, accuracy, privacy, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or platform integrity.
Effective: July 25, 2026
1. Removal is not automatic
Because CaseLink may preserve public-source context, removal requests are reviewed case by case. Public records may remain available when there is a lawful public-interest reason to preserve them.
2. Reasons content may be removed or restricted
Content may be removed, hidden, restricted, or archived if it is knowingly false, abusive, doxxing, spam, malware, private without justification, harmful to a family or witness, legally restricted, duplicated, or unsupported.
3. Public records and source history
Removing a user account or submission does not necessarily remove public-source records, agency data, audit history, source metadata, or review records that CaseLink has a legitimate reason to retain.
4. Sensitive information
Exact addresses, private contact details, minors, family information, medical details, witness information, and investigative notes may be restricted even when related public records remain visible.
5. How to request review
Requests should identify the specific URL or record, explain the harm or error, provide supporting context, and include a way to contact the requester if follow-up is needed.
